About Us

The University of Toronto Pre-Law Society is a student-administrated, campus-recognized organization committed to providing students with information concerning law school, legal careers, and other related resources. Whether you are unsure about entering the legal field or dead set upon it, or looking for legal-related experience, we invite you to join our community and gain access to these resources by signing up for membership and taking part in our events.

Mooting

The undergraduate mooting program is home to a team of students devoted to the practice of oral legal advocacy. The team has won awards at competitions nation-wide.

Locally, the Mooting Board hosts the University of Toronto Cup in conjunction with UTPLS and the U of T Faculty of Law.

Mock Trials

The University of Toronto Pre-Law Society's Mock Trials division is an opportunity to give pre-law students another route to a comprehensive experience. Mock Trials offers students an exciting insight into important aspects of the legal system.

We believe that mock trial provides students with a practical legal experience prior to attending law school and provides an opportunity to develop legal skills, including legal reasoning, litigation, logical reasoning, and oral advocacy.
